I have others’ backs by looking out for people. I always try to make an effort to check in and make sure everyone of my friends and family members are alright.
One of my good friends had just gotten out of a relationship and was super depressed. It got really bad and he even started cutting himself. When I found out about it, I made sure I was always there for him because I knew he needed someone.
I feel like if everyone looked out for one another, we would be more united. We would see less suicides in our community. One of the main causes of suicide is when people feel like they don’t have anyone. If we can make sure that even just one person feels like they have someone, then we can help reduce the number of deaths.
People will notice that we have their backs when they need us the most. For example, people may be in a serious situation or in a less serious one, but as long as someone can ask if you’re okay, it will help a lot. People will see it eventually and will feel better.
