I have been bullied all through elementary, middle, and into high school. It got so bad my family moved away from our home state. I have always been the one who is “easy to make fun of."

I want to change people’s lives for the better. I almost committed suicide because because of the pain I went through because I was bullied. No one should have to go through any of this.

I’ve had friends who have been abused and I’ve also heard about my mom’s experience before I was born. I want to make sure no one including myself has to go through that.

My friend was pinned against a boy’s car unwillingly. The boy groped and touched her. He kept saying things like, “This is the only action you’ll get” and, “no one else wants to do this with you."

Power-based personal violence in not acceptable in our community. People are getting too comfortable with bullying and abuse. I see this all the time in sports. Kids are hazed and bullied all the time, especially underclassmen. Personal violence should be stopped.

Some older kids on my sports team think they have more power and pick on me a lot. They do it at almost every practice. It makes me dread going, even though I love the sport.

I was molested at a young age by someone I trusted. I’m 17 now and I feel violated and gross about myself. Someone knew this was going on and did nothing. I want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

If we continue to act like violence is just an everyday occurrence and that there is nothing we can do to fix it we will be miserable. We have to speak up.
